My work is focused on human relationships and how these affect their actions. Painting, specifically oil painting, and drawing are the main avenues I use to explore humanity. People are complex and I find it interesting to watch everyone deal with the relationships in their lives; whether it be with family, friends, themselves, animals, or the environment. I have always been interested in this and it is starting to show in my work. My recent work has developed from human relationships with animals onto humans relationships with themselves and other people. Recently I have begun to look at my own relationship with myself and how it has flourished in light of a major life change that I have recently been dealing with. I have also been exploring my interpersonal relationships and how they affect me. I have always used symbolism in my work, typically through nature, and this aspect has grown more. I find it gives
